The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Research Institute (MAPRI) collaborates works with community members in the Maryland, D.C., and northern Virginia area to engage local communities about research activities. MAPRI does this through the Community Advisory Board (CAB).

The CAB is a partnership between MAPRI and individuals from the local area that provides community input on MAPRI research. The CAB gives advice on how to improve clinical research projects by making them more relevant to public needs, ensuring patient rights are respected, increasing minority representation in research, and advising on how research team members can best interact with our communities, among other functions.

The CAB is always looking for new members to best represent the diversity of the KPMAS community. If you’re interested in learning more about the CAB and how to get involved, feel free to review the application below or reach out to us at MAPRI-CAB@kp.org.
