Role:
As the Associate Director of Research Programs (Tumor Registry and Accreditations Programs), Aung is responsible for the oversight, development, coordination, and completion of highly visible, multi‐faceted programs and regional projects that involve oncology and program accreditations. Aung has oversight and management of all activities related to the data collection process for the Mid-Atlantic States Tumor Registry, oversees activities related to the regional accreditations for the Commission on Cancer (CoC) and the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP), and has oversight over any future accreditations related to MAPRI.
Aung received his Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Maryland University College, Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management with Business Administration from Towson University, and is a Certified Tumor Registrar.
