Hepatitis B Research Nurse Coordinator
Lauren Williamson joined the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) in September 2017, serving as a Clinical Research Nurse in the Hepatitis B Pathway Program. As the Hepatitis B Coordinator, Lauren works with the gastroenterology and infectious disease departments in assisting patients with managing their Hepatitis B care. Patients are contacted regularly in completing follow-up care with lab work and ultrasound testing, assisted in scheduling appointments with the GI specialist, and, if eligible, monitored annually on the Hepatocellular Carcinoma Screening Pathway.
Prior to joining MAPMG, Lauren worked at Doctors Community Hospital with a background in telemetry (cardiac) nursing and stroke nursing care and management. She also worked for Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Health Plan group as a Clinical Nurse in Internal Medicine.
Lauren has earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain School of Nursing. She is currently a student at Kaplan University to receive her Master’s degree in Public Health; expectant graduation date: May of 2019.
