Laura Vasquez, MPH, is a Research Project Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Research Institute (MAPRI). Laura has managed numerous projects, including a clinical trial on hypertension disparities, an epigenetic pilot study to examine cross generational inheritance of cardiometabolic risks due to psychosocial stressors, and two studies with the Johns Hopkins Kaiser Permanente Research Collaborative, among others.

Laura has been actively involved with the Kaiser Permanente Research Bank since she joined MAPRI in 2018. She manages recruitment and the Community Advisory Board for the Mid-Atlantic region.

Previously, Laura served in the U.S. Army as an Environmental Science Officer in the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, NY. Prior to her commission, she worked as a program evaluator for the U.S. Army Public Command, leading comprehensive evaluations of the U.S. Army’s health promotion programs.

Laura received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Johns Hopkins, and Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in 2012.
