Julia Certa, MPH


Research Project Manager



Julia Certa is a Research Project Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Research Institute (MAPRI). Julia has worked for the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group since May 2017. She manages a variety of projects, focusing primarily on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), HIV, and diagnostic errors. Additionally, Julia managed the submission process which led to the accreditation of KP Mid-Atlantic States as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program by the Commission on Cancer – the first time a non-hospital based organization has received this accreditation. She has also written manuscripts related to HIV patient care in KPMAS.

Julia graduated from the University of Delaware with a BA in Sociology, concentrating in Health Services, and completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
