Sundeep Singh Basra, MPH
Research Data Analyst I
Sundeep Singh Basra is a Research Data Analyst at the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Research Institute (MAPRI). Sundeep has worked at MAPRI since February 2019. Sundeep works on various projects, including the Mortality Registry (incorporating National Death Index data), Opioid Registry, Molecular Marker tables, and the DC Cohort. Sundeep also assists with the maintenance of the Virtual Data Warehouse (VDW). He collaborates with scientists in developing and executing projects using electronic health records and other data warehouses.
Prior to joining MAPRI, Sundeep worked as a data intern in the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Administration (HEPRA) under the District of Columbia Department of Health (DC Health). His work focused on compiling the Annual Trauma Registry Report, presenting demographics, primary mechanisms of injury, and injury surveillance data. Sundeep graduated from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California with a Master of Public Health degree, concentrating in Biostatistics and Epidemiology. He received a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine.
